digitAll announces the release of its CinePlus2K & the e-Cinema package
Last week digitAll announced the release of its CinePlus2K at the “2006 Annual Australian International Movie Convention” Built with more than eight years field experience, the CinePlus2K introduces a hardware/software combination specially designed to meet the needs of the cinema industry. The Panasonic DW5000U DLP Projector and CinePlus2K form the basis of digitAll‘s new e-cinema package.
CinePlus2K features
Capitalising on feedback from projectionists, bio box technicians, content creators, and advertising sales companies, the CinePlus2K product launches with 2K playback capability (and of course, lower resolutions), a core hardware platform for future Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI) upgradeability, and a user friendly touch-screen for simply projectionist operation.
digitAll company founder and developer Martin Gardiner says the system’s key strength is its, ‘stand-alone operation – operators are free from the hassles of having to use an external computer, mouse or keyboard, but can still take advantage of complete network integration for remote automation, scheduling and control.’ Gardiner believes the system will revolutionise cinema operations because it combines superior image quality with ease of operation.
Panasonic DW5000U DLP Projector
Panasonic has also launched its DW5000U DLP Projector, a significant landmark step in the availability of high quality picture (1.3K), with appropriate Lumens (brightness) for cinema projection, at an affordable price. The projector features a high contrast ratio, native 16 by 9 image, detachable lens, and horizontal/vertical lens shift, making it perfect for placement in existing slide projector portals.
Cinetech Support
Cinetech has established itself as the cinema support company of choice for many of Australia’s major cinema houses. digitAll and Cinetech are working together to bring a premium switchover product and service at an entirely affordable price.
Why go with the e-Cinema package?
The switch to digital is happening. In light of the quality that digital projection now provides, a major cinema player recently commented to us, ‘I don’t know why we’re using film anymore!’
The e-Cinema package provides an excellent starting point for cinemas that want to make a cost effective conversion to digital. In particular,
- the cost of system payments can be recovered from as little as a single advertisement
- the CinePlus2K provides an upgrade path to DCI
- the DW5000U projector offers the quality of 35mm film for almost a tenth of the price of a DCI compliant projector.
- digitAll’s developers have a longstanding reputation for innovation in Australia
- cinema’s will be able to show new main attraction material that would normally not be available
The e-Cinema combination can generate revenue today!
